GAMEWIKISTATION

Privacy

This policy covers gamewikistation.com: the station’s pages and every wiki on it. GameWikiStation operates the site. Where something applies to one wiki only, the section says so.

Last updated: October 25, 2026.

Reading the site

You do not need an account to read GameWikiStation or its wikis. Cloudflare hosts the site and processes connection information, such as your IP address and request details, to deliver pages and protect the service. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

The wikis use browser storage for preferences such as the selected theme. Clearing site data in your browser resets stored preferences. The station pages do not store search queries or language choices in browser storage; optional consent-controlled Google Analytics is described below. On the directory homepage, wiki search downloads a static index and runs your query in the browser; it is not submitted to the site. On Discover pages, selected filters appear in the browser’s URL. Loading or refreshing that URL sends its query parameters as part of the page request, and Cloudflare may process them as request data. Links to external sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Google Analytics

GameWikiStation and its published wikis share optional Google Analytics 4 measurement. Google Analytics is not loaded and sends no Google Analytics requests until you explicitly allow it; accepting and declining are equally available, and declining does not limit site use. Use Google Analytics settings in the footer to change or withdraw your choice. The choice is stored in this browser’s localStorage until you change it or clear site data. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control keep Google Analytics off.

After consent, page views send only the canonical page URL and static page title, without searches, query strings or fragments. Google may also receive browser/device details, an approximate country derived from the connection, and a random Google cookie identifier with an approximately 90-day configured expiration. Google receives your IP address as part of the connection; this is not anonymous measurement. We do not use advertising features or signals, or send names, email addresses, account IDs, user input, searches, comments, form contents or link data to Google Analytics.

Withdrawing consent stops future Google Analytics collection and removes cookies set by this analytics stream. Data already sent remains subject to Google’s policies and the property’s retention settings. Read Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services. This choice controls Google Analytics only; Cloudflare may separately process connection data or inject hosting analytics beacons under its own policies.

Accounts and contributions

You can create an account with an email address and password or with Google. Firebase Authentication manages the account identity and credentials; the site does not store passwords. The site receives an account identifier and, where applicable, email and verification status. Firebase’s privacy and security information and Google’s privacy policy explain how those services handle data. A first-party, HttpOnly session cookie keeps you signed in and expires after 24 hours.

Cloudflare D1 stores your account profile (username and display name), followed games, saved guide links and account preferences. Weekly email updates are optional and off by default; if enabled, the selected language and delivery-prevention records are stored. Resend receives the recipient address and message content to send account verification, password-reset and opted-in digest email; see Resend’s privacy policy.

Your account username is public when you post an account comment. Verified account guide submissions, the name used for credit, guide details and optional images go to a private Cloudflare D1 review queue visible to the maintainer. Submissions are not automatically published. The service limits each account to five pending guides, the queue to 1,000 guides total and stored image data to 32 MiB; a full queue declines additional submissions.

Deleting your account removes its profile, follows, saved guides, digest preferences and delivery records, account comments, and pending guide submissions and images. Guest comments and issue reports are independent and are not removed with an account. The page’s account controls provide the deletion flow.

Comments

Guest comments do not require an account or email. Guest display names are unverified. If you post while signed in, your account username and comment are shown publicly. Both types appear in the same game-specific discussion shared across language versions. Moderators can hide or delete comments. Deleting an account removes that account’s comments; it does not remove guest comments.

Cloudflare Turnstile and IP-based rate limiting protect guest comment submissions. For account comments, the service checks the signed-in session and applies rate limits. The comments database and application logs do not store IP addresses or Turnstile tokens. Cloudflare may process connection and security data under its own privacy policy. Please do not post private information in comments.

Reports and guides

Report a problem in the page footer sends the page address, the wiki’s data build where it records one, the game version and mods you state, what you say the game shows and an optional screenshot to the wiki maintainer’s private issue tracker on GitHub. From a simulator it also sends that tool’s current settings. Reports are not shown on the wiki, and no account or email is needed. Do not include personal information. This guest report uses the Turnstile check and rate limiting described under Comments; the report does not contain your IP address. GitHub stores it under its privacy statement.

Submit a guide requires a signed-in account with a verified email address and username. It sends the guide text and details you provide, the page address, your username for credit and up to four optional images to a private Cloudflare D1 review queue visible to the maintainer. You must grant explicit permission for the guide to be published. Submissions are not public unless separately reviewed and published. Account and guide data are removed through account deletion as described above.

Traffic measurement

The first-party measurements in this section apply only to the Probably Stolen Wiki; they are separate from Google Analytics and do not include GameWikiStation.

We count visible browser pageviews, the first interaction with each simulator per pageview, and clicks to GitHub Sponsors. Country is estimated by Cloudflare from the connection. We do not store IP addresses, full referrers, URL queries, simulator inputs or comment text in these statistics. Anonymous counts do not use cookies or a persistent browser identifier.

In the footer’s Traffic measurement settings, you can turn off counting or opt in to remembering this browser for 90 days. Only opt-in measurement saves a random identifier in local storage and sends it with future events. Returning browsers are those seen on an earlier UTC date within the retained history; this is a sample of consenting browsers, not a count of all people. Turning this option off removes the browser identifier and stops future linking. Previous records expire through daily deletion after 90 days. The identifier expires after 90 days too. Opt-out preferences stay until you change them or clear site data. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable measurement. Blocking storage does not prevent anonymous counting; blocking the script or requests prevents counting.

Support

The Probably Stolen Wiki’s support page uses the same public comment service described above. GitHub Sponsors handles any sponsorship payments under its own policies. We count outbound clicks, not completed donations, and receive no card details through this wiki.

Anonymous wiki-interest votes

The GameWikiStation news cards let you give a game a thumbs-up (👍) or take it back. On your first vote, the browser creates a random token in local storage for 365 days. Reading a page or its counts does not create this token. Each browser can have one active vote per game, shared across languages. Clearing site data or using another browser can permit another vote, so counts are approximate interest, not unique people or automatic approval to publish a wiki.

Cloudflare D1 stores a SHA-256 hash of the token, the game ID and the vote time. It does not store the original token, your name, email, raw IP address or a device fingerprint. Undo deletes that game’s row when confirmed. Votes older than 365 days are excluded from counts and removed by daily cleanup. The browser token expires separately 365 days after creation; deleting it does not automatically delete existing server votes, which expire on that schedule.

Adding a vote uses Cloudflare Turnstile to resist spam. Cloudflare may process your connection information for verification. The application uses a short-lived IP hash as a rate-limit key, without keeping the raw IP in the votes database. Voting uses its own first-party token, never a Google Analytics identifier. Declining analytics or enabling Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control does not block voting. Blocking local storage prevents voting; browsing remains available.

Official game videos

The three existing news posts load their trailer previews automatically on archive cards and on their article pages. Every new trailer preview remains unloaded until you press its load button; before that action, the page makes no request to the video provider. Loading an embedded player connects your browser to the named provider; playback still requires Play and does not start automatically. YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com) does not mean zero network activity or guarantee that no storage or cookies are used. Google may receive your IP address, page origin and browser/device information, and YouTube may use storage or cookies. This is separate from Google Analytics consent. We do not save a preview choice, video data or a video-specific identifier. You can also use the direct video link or the localized Steam link in the article. Read Google’s privacy policy.

A Bilibili player is used only when a post has a verified Bilibili copy: Simplified Chinese pages and devices set to certain mainland-China time zones select that copy. If no verified copy is available, the article uses its verified YouTube video and may link to the localized Steam page. Bilibili may receive your IP address, page origin and browser/device information, and may use storage or cookies. The time zone is read in your browser for this choice and is not sent to us. The uploader is named below the player. Read Bilibili’s privacy policy.

Advertising

Google AdSense is currently disabled. If enabled, eligible pages may show two labelled in-page ads and a dismissible bottom banner. The Battle Brothers, Graveyard Keeper 2 and Silver Pines wikis show no ads.

When AdSense is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may collect or receive information including IP addresses, browser and device information, page URLs, and ad interactions. They may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to serve, measure, and protect ads. Google’s advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites. Personalization depends on your choices and the applicable consent requirements.

Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s privacy policy.

Your choices

When AdSense is enabled, Google’s Privacy & messaging system presents applicable regional consent or opt-out controls. Where consent is requested, you can accept, decline, or manage your choices. You can continue reading the wiki after declining personalized advertising; other permitted ads may still appear.

On pages with AdSense advertising, the footer’s Privacy & cookie settings button appears when Google’s European consent controls are available. Use it to revisit or withdraw your consent. Where applicable, Google’s US state regulations message provides a Do Not Sell or Share link. If a blocker prevents these controls from loading, they may be unavailable.

You can also manage Google ad personalization in My Ad Center, visit AboutAds choices for participating third-party advertisers, or manage cookies and site data in your browser. These controls have different scopes; deleting cookies can remove saved consent choices.
