Find a route up the mountain

Aava climbs Mount Kami by choosing each handhold and foothold, adjusting posture and balance as she goes. You choose where to climb across the mountain rather than follow one fixed path.

Manage the climb

Plan around pitons and chalk, and manage tape, food, water and medicine; bivouacs let Aava rest along the way. For players who enjoy route choice and balancing preparation against the next stretch, the climb’s step-by-step decisions are the appeal.

Current game and update status

The base game launched January 29, 2026. The free On the Trail: Deep Water DLC adds three locations, limited energy and Marco, whose reach and movement differ; a separate Free Roam update is also announced. Both are scheduled for October 29, 2026.
