Survival: supplies and limits

Preserve health, ammunition and room to move
Section titled “Preserve health, ammunition and room to move”These notes summarize the supplied Hints and PauseHints text; they are not current-build observations. Use the controls shown on screen. Damage, enemy behavior, drops and route order remain unverified.
Light and supplies
Section titled “Light and supplies”The flashlight improves vision in dark areas but drains charge while active. Batteries can be combined with it to recharge. Turn it off when you can see safely, and keep a battery if you expect a long dark section. This is resource advice, not a measured battery duration.
Weapons and healing
Section titled “Weapons and healing”Melee weapons lose durability after use and eventually break; the help says a broken weapon is much less effective.
Duct Tape is named as one repair item. For firearms, reload while aiming, then press Reload again when the prompt indicates the highlighted timing window. Exact controls depend on your bindings. Avoid spending ammunition on an unclear target when stealth or a dodge can get you through.
The extracted help says poison drains health over time and reduces available stamina. It also describes combining herbs and bottles into healing tonics, and combining healing items to produce a stronger effect and save space. An item definition describes some tonics as healing, antidote, stamina or mixed-use variants; the item catalog shows the recorded names and descriptions, not field-tested effectiveness.
Inventory and routes
Section titled “Inventory and routes”Carry the item needed for the next known interaction rather than every tool you own. The keyring stores combined keys; the item box is shared across boxes in the world. The map supports floor changes, and the camera can attach a reminder to the place where its photo was taken. Keep distinct keys and similarly named objects separate until the prompt confirms the match.
Mementos: help text conflicts
Section titled “Mementos: help text conflicts”One set of extracted help says to find Shards in the world to increase Memento slots. Another pause-help entry instead says Julee the Waitress identifies Mementos and that giving her Identify Documents unlocks slots. These instructions conflict. This guide does not choose one as current behavior: inspect the current item or character interaction and report the game build if it differs.
See getting started, the item catalog and the cautious route-planning guide.
