Study and sermons: a weekly faith routine

Science kit

The Study Table and Church use separate resources. Study items to turn Science into Tech Points; prepare Happiness and Church quality (the cross icon) for sermons. This routine follows extracted tutorial text and has not been verified in current-build gameplay.

  1. Find the Study Table in the Church basement. The tutorial says this is where you receive your first blue Tech Point.
  2. Bring Science and an item to study. The tutorial says studying spends Science and rewards red, green, and blue Tech Points.
  3. If Science runs low, study and decompose items that contain it. The tutorial names Paper and Science kits as examples. The extracted table gives two repeatable examples: one Clean Paper produces 1 Science, while one Science Kit I produces 30 Science. These production actions grant no Tech Points themselves.
  4. Check the subject list and costs before spending scarce Science. For example, one Blood plus 1 Science yields 5 red and 10 blue Tech Points once. Choose an available, not-yet-studied subject with a positive blue value. The study reference records all 395 subjects and production entries found in the local data extraction.

The technology reference explains the Tech Point uses; item details for Clean Paper, Science Kit I, and Blood are in the item table. This example comes from extracted table values, not a current-build gameplay check.

The tutorial says you can hold a sermon at the Church every day of Wrath. One quest record says that after the base ceremony is unlocked, sermons can be held every week; follow the journal if the interaction is not yet available.

Before choosing a ceremony:

  1. Check your available Happiness and Church quality.
  2. Compare the ceremony’s displayed requirement with the lower of those two values. The tutorial says that lower value determines how many parishioners attend.
  3. For a more elaborate ceremony, check the requirement carefully: the tutorial says better ceremonies need more of the lower value to succeed.
  4. Earn more Happiness through quests and town orders, which the tutorial lists as sources. Review the ceremony again when you have more available.

The tutorial’s success rule is qualitative; it does not give universal breakpoints or guarantee that a ceremony succeeds at a particular inventory count. The sermon reference collects the extracted ceremony data.

  • Study Table gives no blue point: check that you are at the Church basement Study Table; the tutorial identifies it as the source of your first blue point.
  • You cannot study the item: check for Science and inspect the subject requirements. Decompose Science-bearing items to replenish Science.
  • Few parishioners attend: compare Happiness and Church quality; attendance uses the lower value.
  • The chosen ceremony is too demanding: select a ceremony whose displayed requirement matches your current resources, or build Happiness and Church quality first. No specific optimal ceremony is established here.
  • Sermon interaction is unavailable: check the journal for the base ceremony unlock; the quest’s completion text says weekly sermons then become available.
