Mods worth exploring

These are different starting points, not a popularity ranking. Features and requirements are author-reported; this wiki has not tested them in game. The versions are the latest exact release records observed on 5 October 2026. If an author did not name a game build, compatibility is unknown.

Choose one speed mod

Quicker and Swifter overlap. Swifter’s author also lists a conflict with Autopilot. Quicker says not to combine it with Swifter, Faster or Debug. Start with one and follow that mod’s compatibility list; check author pages for any other conflicts.

Frameworks and installation

Install only dependencies named on each mod’s current author page. Quicker calls for Modding Script Hooks v20+; Autopilot New calls for stdlib, Modern Hooks and MSU; Swifter calls for Modding Script Hooks and MSU; MSU calls for Modern Hooks. Reforged has its own dependency list.

Follow each author’s ZIP instructions. Quicker says to put its ZIP in the game’s data directory without extracting it. Reforged requires both core and assets ZIPs in data, also left zipped. Legends release notes specify which code and assets packages to replace. Installation steps are not interchangeable across mods.

Before a modded run

Back up saves separately and test one change at a time, especially before adding or removing an overhaul. Check the author’s release notes for your exact game build and required DLC. This wiki’s reference facts describe unmodded PC build 1.5.2.3 and do not verify modded behavior. No exact 1.5.2.3 support statement was found for Quicker, Autopilot New, Legends or Swifter; Reforged names 1.5.2.2 or later.
