Sources and coverage

Battle Brothers cover art

We write original summaries and keep source records behind the scenes. The owner has checked some material in play; the exact reviewed entries and game build have not yet been recorded in this catalog. Other numbers and event probabilities come from documentation or the supplied game scripts. English and Simplified Chinese use the same reference data; Chinese names are working translations awaiting terminology review.

The scope is unmodded PC with all gameplay DLC. The owner-supplied Windows archive is build 1.5.2.3; its DLC archives are present, but the owner’s played build and enabled DLC have not been recorded. Most expanded entries cite exact community-wiki page revisions alongside archive-derived item or event facts. Source text licensing does not establish permission to publish extracted game sprites; artwork review remains open.

The starting pilot had 15 weapon rows and three short guides. It had no armor, event-choice, enemy or legendary-location references. The expanded wiki now has 178 weapon models, 335 armor/shield/attachment source records (287 illustrated armor rows and 42 named models shown), 429 event entries, 175 displayed enemy forms, 19 unique-location/holy-site entries, 47 settlement archetypes and 42 displayed situations from 44 source records, plus 609 items in the player-facing item table and 92 named equipment models in the item database. The source catalog retains 617 item records. The enemy detail view has representative game sprites for all 175 displayed forms, 51 visible attack examples and 25 visible linked scripted-drop lists. Four redundant family summaries remain in the source data but are folded into their forms. Four item entries without a verified campaign route and four internal armor-condition modifiers remain in source data but are omitted from player-facing item catalogs. These are documentation-stage references, not a gameplay-certified encyclopedia.

Subject What is answered now Remaining player questions
Equipment The source catalogs retain all 127 weapon scripts and 293 armor/head/shield/attachment scripts. The player-facing views explain known acquisition for displayed rows; five special weapons and 47 armor or helmet models are non-dropping NPC equipment, and 18 previously vague sources now identify a location reward, actor gear or recruit starting gear. Displayed ranges and worth for all 92 named models match the 1.5.2.3 item and roll scripts. Heraldic Mail, Wizard’s Hat, Sword Grip and Preserved Mead remain in source data but are omitted from the player-facing catalogs because no campaign route is verified. Generated named-item combinations and artwork rights need review. A loot-enabled script is not a guaranteed drop.
Events All 429 entries have bilingual outcome drafts: 42 detailed branches and 387 script-checked scenes (37 originally blank), with no source-outline rows left. One hundred event cards also show possible alternate in-game illustrations. Chinese terminology and representative gameplay still need review.
Enemies All 175 displayed forms and variants have HP values and representative script-matched sprites, including the Barbarian Madman’s script-backed 160 base HP. The 179 staged stat-box rows reconcile to 138 exact community-page revisions; 41 rows add scaling statements and 67 add condition statements, with no unresolved notes. Armor, combat stats, immunities, selected attack ranges and possible drops appear where sourced. Source reconciliation does not establish live behavior. Generated equipment, damage modifiers, scaling and drop chances still need representative gameplay checks.
Legendary locations 19 unique-location/holy-site entries, including ten dedicated battle and duel pages in Legendary; each has a 1.5.2.3 script-checked DLC or update requirement. Current-build boss replays and some seed-dependent discovery rules.
Recruiting The guide and background table give script-derived starting ranges, level, costs, wages, excluded talent attributes and traits, and example comparisons. Progression coverage explains standard talent-star rolls, ordinary level-up ranges, XP thresholds and the level-11 perk-point setting. Actual candidate rolls, final hiring offers, trait-event synergies and representative builds remain campaign-dependent and need in-game review.
Perks and builds 50-perk archive catalog and combat explanation of mastery, Nimble and Battle Forged Build tradeoffs, prerequisites and leveled examples.
Campaign systems The 16-origin index identifies starting setup and individual expansion requirements, including the Random selector gate. The contract index summarizes all 50 templates’ objectives, offer context, threats, payment and branches; its guide compares common jobs, and the systems page explains faction readiness. A world-map guide connects these catalogs to 47 settlement archetypes with facilities and recruit targets. The inspected scripts do not include the ordinary contract-template selector, so they cannot establish a standard offer schedule. Starting-state effects and longer-term origin synergies still need gameplay review; ambitions, retinue unlocks, crises, arena strategy and company limits remain broader gaps.
Economy/crafting Equipment acquisition channels and 42 displayed settlement situations with scripted stock, price and recruit effects; the raw catalog retains 44. Razed and Short on Food stay out of the view while their creation routes remain unverified. Trade routes, repair economics and practical use of taxidermist recipes need further player-facing examples.
Damage/status rules The combat guide distinguishes base damage from attack results and includes a worked body-hit calculation, armor examples, action costs, fatigue, defense perks and control checks; the script example record extends the sourced calculations. These calculations have not been validated in a recorded playthrough. Broader status durations, injury/recovery and immunity coverage remain gaps.

The wiki remains a review-stage pilot. We can focus play review on disputed and high-impact claims while inviting community corrections for the rest. The owner’s reviewed subset still needs to be mapped to entries and a build; bilingual terminology and rights to publish extracted game art also remain open. Source-backed drafts must not be promoted as reviewed simply because a build succeeds.

See the item database for the working entries. To help improve a claim, identify the game build, enabled DLC, entry, choice or item, and the observed result. Equipment, event, enemy, settlement and legendary pages will each have a bilingual discussion once posting is enabled for this host.
