Rebuilding a Company: tutorial walkthrough

Start with the scripted company
Section titled “Start with the scripted company”Choose Rebuilding a Company (Tutorial) when starting a campaign. Its scenario script creates three preset companions, places two grain supplies in the stash and starts the tutorial contract. The opening is about rebuilding a company after a failed pursuit of the bandit Hoggart.
Complete the opening battle
Section titled “Complete the opening battle”The first contract begins with a scripted battle whose objective is to defeat Hoggart. During this tutorial battle the three starting brothers are temporarily protected from death. The game restores their normal death setting after victory, so do not assume later battles have the same protection.
After the battle, follow the in-game contract prompts through hiring and equipping the company. The tutorial’s roster lesson is to recruit until the company has six brothers, then make sure the recruits have usable weapons and armor before returning to the contract flow. Read the current on-screen objective at each stage; this walkthrough does not replace the campaign’s own state checks.
Continue into the campaign
Section titled “Continue into the campaign”Once the tutorial contract is finished, use settlement services to compare recruits, resupply and repair before accepting another job. Inspect each new brother’s attributes and traits rather than assigning a role from background alone. The recruit-background reference, equipment catalog and early-contract guide give you the next lookup points.
If you prefer a less scripted opening, choose A New Company from the origin list. The tutorial video below is an official combat demonstration; it is supplemental and may show a different game build.
