Gunsmithing and 3D printing

3D Printer

Setup

The Gunsmith starts with a weapon permit, firearms, ammunition and modifications. Inspect the starting printer’s condition before adding a chip and materials. The retired gunsmith offers printer plastic, chips and related equipment after the relevant network unlock; his possible stock is not a guaranteed bundle.

How it works

A chip selects the product. Supply its listed materials and the required printing modules, then leave room for the output and provide power. Metal Printing, CNC and Melee Batch modules serve different jobs. A melee batch module changes melee-chip output; it is not a universal bonus for firearm or gun-part chips.

Checks before committing

Printing a frame is different from assembling a complete firearm. Match the ammunition and compatible modifications to the weapon. Check the permit and contraband rules before selling. If printing stalls, inspect the chip, material amounts, module requirements, power and output space before buying replacement equipment. For a custom gun order, every mandatory requirement must pass. Caliber is an exact match; other requirements use a strict greater-than or less-than comparison, so equality does not pass. The order gun must carry the advanced-gun tag and be in the back inventory. Confirm the current reward on the order; the examples below show how its market modifier and retail markup combine.

Choose the correct printer job

  1. Buy or obtain the matching chip, supply its listed materials, and install the required printing equipment. CNC frame and CNC gun-part chips follow different completion branches from melee chips. Leave output space and supply power.
  2. Read the table as base recipe quantities and progress, not a fixed number of nights. Melee-batch modules affect melee output; gun-part output can instead use the printer’s gun-part count setting. Inspect the finished frame or parts before assembling or selling.

Finish a frame with gun parts

  1. Keep the frame in an inventory and use an owned Gun Part on it; both items must pass the ownership check. The frame stores which firearm it becomes. Another printed part or a magazine does not substitute for the Gun Part.
  2. Assembly consumes the frame and the Gun Part and places the completed firearm back into the frame’s inventory. A printed frame carries print quality into the weapon’s base-stat multiplier; a frame without that print-quality value uses its equipment-condition feature. Check the finished weapon before fitting attachments or fulfilling an order.

Check attachment fit before buying

  1. Use the weapon’s matching slot and an owned attachment. The weapon must be owned or handled as a service gun. Slot eligibility and the attachment’s own weapon list both apply; a matching caliber alone does not prove that a magazine fits.
  2. Use the compatibility table for restricted attachments on ordinary advanced firearms. A storage container is not a weapon-fit test, and a listed weapon still needs the appropriate slot. Remove a conflicting attachment first: normal and improved internal springs share an exclusive group. Recheck the assembled gun’s stats, since effects depend on its base stats and condition.

Work out the order reward modifier

Add the order’s combined market modifier and your retail markup to 100, multiply the base reward by that total, then divide by 100 and round to a whole credit. Half-credit ties round to the even integer. For base 250, market+10% and markup+25%, the result is338; the percentages are added before multiplication. This is the modifier step, not a substitute for completing every weapon requirement or for the order’s displayed current terms.
